Real Life. Real People. Really Authentic Photography.
About thirty years ago, I grabbed somebody's camera, likely a camera belonging to someone from my school’s photo club, so I could shoot some stuff for the yearbook. Those photos never made it in the yearbook but the idea of photography took hold. Later that year, as a gift for my graduation and upcoming traveling, my dad gave me a Nikon FE and a passion was born. That was 1979.
In late December last year, after finally accepting that my Nikon was indeed gone, having been left hanging, three years prior, on a chair in a hotel, I graduated to digital. The freedom of the digital medium is a gift. All photographers are developing, as photography is a growth experience, but in this medium, I am young, endlessly young.
My style is raw and real. My photos are largely unadjusted; they are as I see them. Real life doesn’t need much help to be amazing, humbling, wondrous and beautiful.
I like it real.
